MONTEFIORE CARRIAGE
The restoration of Montefiore’s carriage which is in the Mishkanot Shananim in Jerusalem.
In 1986, Montefiore’s carriage was set on fire by unknown persons and all the wood and fabric parts of it were burned, but it’s metal frame remained.
In 1990 it was restored and rebuilt by the artist Itamar Newman.
The carriege is currently displayed in it’s original place, and protected with an armored glass panel.
